PEER SUPPORT NETWORK FINALIST FOR $25,000 GRANT
Boca Raton - Peer Support Network (PSN) has been selected as a finalist to win $25,000 cash prize!
Peer Support Network’s proposal for Holes for Hope, golf tournament has been chosen as one of ten finalists in a contest to win $25,000. Building on its history of community involvement, Markham Vineyards will award the cash prize to two passionate and inspiring organizations who are committed to the betterment of their communities through impactful initiatives. The voting to determine the winners will only take place online. Voters can cast their vote once a day through September 7, 2010 at www.markhammarkofdistiction.com. Holes for Hope will raise much needed funds to further PSN’s mission of improving the quality of life of all people affected by cancer by fostering communication and hope through Internet-based peer support services.
PSN and the Holes for Hope event will spread hope in our local community and together, we will make a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.
Peer Support Network is an Internet-based peer support service founded on the premise that peer support is essential to improving the quality of life, healing and recovery of those coping with cancer. While using the website peers gain hope, understanding, education, encouragement, inspiration and greater self-empowerment from those that have already embarked on this journey.
PSN founders have more than 25 years combined nonprofit management, community outreach and patient support experience. Recognizing the need and benefits of peer support, it is their personal goal to make a positive impact on people affected by cancer.
